Church Cross

Our Mission

Through spiritual mentoring, to train and equip a new generation of missionaries through a complete Christian education plan, combining biblical knowledge, personal development, and practical preparation for sending to the mission field as tentmakers.

We base our mission on the mandate of Colossians 1:28:

“We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.”

We model our mission on the life of the Apostle Paul, the first missionary tentmaker:

“Because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade.” (Acts 18:3)

Our Mission Goals And Initiatives

✓ Empower Christians for cross-cultural missionary work, training them as committed tentmakers.

✓ Equip pastors and Christian leaders to serve as mentors in awakening the missionary calling of tentmakers.

✓ Organize mission trips, events, and short- and long-term spiritual retreats, strengthening a biblical vision to reach all people.

✓ Prepare tentmakers for missionary sustainability and self-sufficiency, ensuring lasting impact.

Bible Lesson

Our Vision

Through missionary training mentoring, to inspire and prepare thousands of people to fulfil the Great Commission effectively and sustainably.

We base our vision on the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.”

We envision:

Global Reach: Impacting lives on every continent through our educational resources

Integral Formation: Developing complete missionaries – spiritually mature, emotionally balanced, and professionally prepared

Sustainability: Equipping tentmakers to be self-sustaining in the mission field

Multiplication: Training leaders who train other leaders, creating an exponential discipleship movement

Francisco Brandao Headshot

Professor Brandão, also known as FRANBRAN (Reverend Francisco DCB Brandão or Fernando Anthony Brandão), is a Brazilian-Canadian theologian, linguist, educator, historian, philosopher, and poet. Born in Santo Antônio dos Lopes, Maranhão, he graduated from the Federal University of Maranhão and completed his advanced studies at the University of Ottawa, in partnership with Saint Paul University, in Canada. His degrees were validated in Brazil by the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).

Throughout his career, both in Brazil and Canada, Brandão has lived in various cities, including São Luís, Sherbrooke, Ottawa, and Kingston. During this time, he published books, anthologies, and academic articles in the fields of Human and Social Sciences. Among his most renowned works are Curso de Formação do Fazedor de Tendas and O Sacerdócio Cristão de Todos os Crentes, which offer deep teachings on the Christian faith. As an ordained pastor with the Baptist Church, he serves as a "tentmaker" missionary with the Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec (CBOQ), focusing on Missions and Discipleship ministries.

From an early age, Professor Franbran recognized the importance of education and faith in transforming lives. His academic background includes degrees in Education, Languages, and Theology, as well as studies in History, Philosophy, and Law. He also holds a master’s degree in Missiology from Canada and a PhD in Education.

Throughout his journey, Franbran has always sought to integrate academic knowledge with church practice. Like the Apostle Paul, who made tents while preaching the Gospel, Franbran sees himself as a "tentmaker," someone who combines secular work with spiritual mission. His education has provided him with a solid foundation both in academia and in pastoral service.

Franbran has worked in various educational institutions, from schools to universities, specializing in areas such as pedagogy, school management, educational planning, and assessment. Fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French, he uses these skills to connect with different cultures and people around the world.

Recognized in his community as a teacher, theologian, and poet, he has written on a wide range of topics, including youth and adult literacy, women’s literature, and immigrant adaptation. He has also published poetry and short stories reflecting his experiences and beliefs.

Faith remains at the center of everything he does. Franbran believes he has been called by God to use his education and skills to impact the lives of many people. He is currently studying medieval themes, exploring how education from that era shaped modern thought. His goal is to continue contributing to both academia and the church, blending theology, education, and history in his journey.

In summary, everything Franbran does is for the glory of God. He continues to serve as an educator and "tentmaker," always seeking ways to positively impact the lives of those around him.
